Naeem, hailing from Mirpur, relocated to England with his wife in 2001 and started working as a taxi driver.

His wife, Musrat Hussain, moved to England alongside him, hoping for a brighter future for their family. Both of Rehan’s parents originally have Pakistani nationality.

Cricket Career of Rising English Spinner:

From an early age, Rehan Ahmed was seen as a future star. Even before he turned 12, he had the honor of bowling at Lord’s, the iconic cricket ground, right before England’s Test match against Pakistan.

Then, as the next summer rolled around, he was back at Lord’s, performing the same task.

The legendary Shane Warne saw him in action and was so impressed that he boldly declared that Rehan would be playing first-class cricket by the time he was 15.

Soon, Rehan started his domestic cricket career with List A. His first game was on July 25, 2021, for Leicestershire in the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup.

Unfortunately, he didn’t take any wickets that day, ending with figures of 0/71 in 10 overs. However, he did remain not out with a score of 7.


Then, in his first-class debut for Leicestershire against Worcestershire in the County Championship Division Two on May 19, 2022, Rehan Ahmed scored 0 runs in the first innings and 16 runs in the second innings. Unfortunately, he did not take any wickets in this match.

Subsequently, he played his first T20 for Leicestershire against Durham in the Vitality Blast on May 26, 2022. In this match, he not only took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, but he also scored 18 runs, including two sixes. International Cricket Career of Rehan:

Rehan, at the tender age of 18 years and 126 days, stepped onto the cricket field for his Test debut with England, playing against Pakistan on December 17, 2022.
