Lee Kang-in Football Career:
Lee started his football training with YooSang-youth Chul’s academy. After a brief period, he joined Incheon United FCU-12 in 2009. While still a student at Seokjeong Elementary School in Incheon, he played for Flying’s FC.
In the summer of 2011, Lee made a significant move by signing with Valencia’s youth system. He steadily climbed the ranks within the academy. His talent and hard work paid off when he was called up to Valencia B in late 2017.
Lee Kang-in made his professional debut for Valencia at the tender age of 17 in 2018. Remarkably, this marked him as the youngest South Korean footballer to debut professionally in Europe.
During his debut season, he won the Copa del Rey, and subsequently, in his second professional season, he made his UEFA Champions League debut.
In 2021, Lee joined Mallorca, where he quickly established himself as one of Europe’s top dribblers. Over the next two seasons, he made significant progress, finishing the 2022/2023 campaign with six goals and seven assists.
Following his impressive performance, he caught the attention of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and subsequently, he joined the French club in the summer of 2023. In order to secure his transfer, PSG paid 22 million euros to Mallorca. Consequently, Lee Kang-in became the first Korean footballer to join PSG.
Throughout his career, Lee has also represented South Korea at various levels. He made his debut for the senior national team in September 2019.
